Seven die in Khanewal road accident

Seven passengers were killed and 35 others injured when a passenger bus heading to Bahawalpur from Shakkargarh met with an accident on Rango Bridge near Khanewal on Multan Road, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the accident took place when the bus overturned while avoiding a collision with a motorcyclist.

The dead included a child, two women and four men. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Khanewal, Tehsil Hospital Kabirwala and Nishtar Hospital Multan. The condition of 10 injured remained critical.

According to the National Highway & Motorway Police, on average 15,000-16,000 people die in Pakistan annually due to traffic accidents and this figure is much higher as compared to the loss of lives due to terrorism in the country.
