Wearing masks mandatory in Islamabad

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqat has made it mandatory for the public to wear masks in the federal capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The DC ordered masks to be worn in all public places in Islamabad.
According to DC Islamabad official tweet, it has been made mandatory to wear masks in all public places in Islamabad. The magistrate is authorised to fine up to Rs3,000 and send the violators to jail under section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code.

It is pertinent to mention that corona cases have started to increase at an exponential rate since Eidul Fitr. In the last 24 hours, there have been 88 deaths across the country taking the tally of total deaths to 1,483. Moreover, 3,039 new cases have been registered around Pakistan.
