Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said on Sunday that Kuwait would resume visas for Pakistanis ‘immediately’.
Kuwait stopped issuing visas to nationals from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan in 2011.
Pakistani families and businesspersons have been facing enormous problems with the Kuwaiti visa ban, the minister said on Twitter.
Pakistani labour has a very important role to play in the early development of Kuwait, the minister tweeted adding that the restoration of worker visa will create job opportunities. He said Pakistanis will now be able to obtain visas online.
Sheikh visited Kuwait where he met Prime Minister Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah and conveyed special greetings from PM Imran Khan.
The development came a few days after Kawait announced sending jail and imposing a fine on anyone who deals with Israel.
Authorities let activists let protest hundreds of Kuwaitis demonstrated in support of Palestinians and burned an Israeli flag for bombardment in Gaza.
