In a bizarre incident of mob justice, people lynched an alleged motorcycle thief in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Reportedly, people caught a man, Mohammad Ashraf, in Gujranwala who allegedly stole a motorcycle. Instead of handing him over to the police, people started beating him up, injuring him critically.

The 24NewsHD TV has got footage of the incident. 

Though the police reached the venue but instead of taking the injured ‘thief’ to hospital, they took him to the police station. And poor Ashraf could not bear pain and succumbed to his injuries on the way. 

Police have registered a murder case against 14 persons who were involved in torturing the alleged thief. 

The police have also registered a case against three policemen including ASI Waheedullah for showing dereliction in the performance of their duty.
