Three lost battle of life to dengue in Lahore, Islamabad

Lahore and Islamabad are still in the grip of dengue onslaught as three more patients died of dengue fever in these two cities during last 24 hours in the federal capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Reportedly, two people succumbed to the dengue virus in Lahore. According to Primary and Secondary Health Department Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch, 385 new cases of dengue were reported in Lahore during last 24 hours. In city hospitals, as many as 1,633 patients are under treatment. In the current year 10,506 cases have been reported in Lahore so far.
Mr Baloch informed that 552 people had been diagnosed with the dengue virus in the Punjab province. Yesterday, 70 dengue cases were reported from Rawalpindi; 10 each from Faisalabad and Multan; 8 from Gujranwala; 7 each from Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib; 6 each from Sargodha and Bahawalpur; 5 from Muzaffargarh; and 4 each from Layyah and Okara.
The total confirmed dengue cases in Punjab were 14,110 and so far 45 people lost their lives to the dengue virus.
In Islamabad, 102 new cases of dengue virus were emerged during last 24 hours with one patient succumbing to the disease. The man who died of dengue fever was a resident of Sector I-XI 1. So far 13 people have lost their battle for life to the virus.
