Notorious dacoit shot dead in Lahore police encounter

A notorious dacoit was shot dead during an encounter with police in Lahore late last night, reported 24NewsHDTV channel on Friday.

The incident took place near the Green Town area of Lahore. Sources in Crime Control Department (CCD) said they were taking the arrested accused Ali Ehsan, for recovery.

Sources revealed that someone provided reliable information to the dacoit's accomplices about the dacoit Ali Ehsan’s movements.

The sources further revealed that when a CCD team, along with the arrested accused, reached near Green Town, some accomplices of the accused, who were already waiting for the CCD team, opened fire.

During heavy exchange of fire, dacoit Ali Ehsan received serious bun shots by his accomplices and died.

All the accomplices of the accused escaped from the scene.

Later, the CCD team shifted the dead body of the dacoit to the hospital’s mortuary. CCD further said they were investigating who provided information to the dacoit's accomplices.
