A man murdered his wife and buried her body in the under-construction bathroom of his house in Sirband area of Mardan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

After the gruesome murder, the man contacted his in-laws, informing them that his wife Samreen has run away from his house.

Police on the complaint of the slain woman’s father launched an investigation into the incident and recovered the body from the bathroom of the husband’s house.

Samreen was a resident of Swat and shifted to Mardan after getting married to M Naeem five years ago.

The victim was mother of a three-year-old daughter.

According to the neighbors, husband and wife used to fight each other over domestic issues.

Mardan police registered an FIR against the husband and two of his brothers. Police said the two co-accused have been arrested while the main accused will be arrested soon.
