Heavy contingents of police and Rangers, in their joint operation in the katcha area of Tangwani, Sindh, have arrested 12 suspected criminals and their five facilitators besides recovering a Vigo Dala from them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Briefing newsmen, SSP Kashmore Bashir Ahmad Brohi has said that several hideouts of dacoits have also been destroyed in the operation.

He has further said the suspects have been arrested as a part of the law enforcement agencies' (LEAs) ongoing operation against outlaws in these areas.

Giving further details, he has said the operation is being carried out for the arrest of the murderers of Ustad Allah Rakhio Nandwani and a policeman and the recovery of some captives.

“The LEAs also used armoured vehicles in the operation,” the SSP informed, adding, “Both sides used sophisticated weapons against each other.”

He has said that following the operation, the police have cordoned off different areas.

Brohi has vowed to continue the operation until the complete elimination of dacoits and other lawless elements in these areas.
