The police conducted operation in Khanpur Mahar area of Ghotki for recovery of two girls abducted from Khairpur.

The operation was carried out in the locality of Khanpur Mahar where house of the main suspect Wasayu Pitafi is situated. He, however, fled the scene well before the operation.

The two girls – Shabana and Menard –were abducted from Nara Taluka of Khairpur District.

The police led by DSP Fida Awan, carried out extensive search but failed to make any headway in recovery of the girls. The police set up camps at the house of the prime suspect and all entry and exit point of the city. The police have been searching every individual entering or leaving the area.

Lady police personnel have also been deployed in the area. The police officials are hopeful about recovery of the girls soon.
