The Cabinet Committee on Privatisation has given its nod to the reference price for the sale of 27 units owned by the government.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation, which was presided by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Hafeez Shaikh.

The committee also approved the transaction structure for the sale of the government units.

The government is expected to procure over Rs5 billion in exchange for the sale of these 27 state-owned properties.

The bidding method for this sale has also been approved.

Earlier, the government had indicated the sale of 32 units. However, later it removed five properties from the original list. The estimated amount of the five delisted properties is roughly around seven billion rupees.
