The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) questioning personnel of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) who allegedly shot dead a young man in Islamabad last week recorded statements of all the accused arrested in this case on Monday.

The accused personnel said they received a call about a robbery and took action. Also, the JIT sought data of the cell phones of the victim Usama Nadeem as well as the alleged assailants. Empty shells found at the crime scene have been sent to the forensic lab for analysis.

According to sources, the forensic report is expected on Friday when the next meeting of the JIT is scheduled to take place. The complainants in this case have been directed to produce witnesses in this case on Friday. The JIT has also sought footage of the cameras installed by the Safe Cities Authority.

Sources say that statements of the police officers and their subordinates who reported to the crime scene first have been recorded. The wireless data of the robbery call has also been sought.
