Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Inspector General (IG) Police Islamabad Wednesday said Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is working on terrorism on social media.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the federal minister and IG Islamabad held a joint press conference at the IG Office in Police Line Islamabad on Wednesday.
Talking to journalists, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the accused person who threatened to attack the parliament has been arrested.
He confirmed the tragic incident of the martyrdom of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officers which was taken place yesterday and said a check of Rs10 million was handed over to the family of Martyr Adeel.
Rana Sanaullah said his government will also give a cheque of Rs12.5 million to the widow of the martyred officer for a house. He added that lifetime facilities will also be provided to the widow of Martyr Adeel.
IG Islamabad Police while addressing the media persons said FIA is working on terrorism-related content on social media.
He said four to five people were involved in the Islamabad Sector I-10/4 incident who have been arrested and the investigation into it is ongoing.
