A pilot and three airhostesses, who were onboard a flight of the Pakistan International Airlines that brought home Pakistanis stranded in Australia a week ago, have tested positive for coronavirus.

The pilot and three airhostesses had undergone coronavirus tests on their arrival in Lahore from the Australian city of Melbourne a week ago. After confirmation of coronavirus in them, they were shifted to CMH Lahore for treatment.

Earlier on April 23, a PIA airhostess had tested positive for coronavirus in Karachi.

A report issued by the district officer for health confirmed coronavirus in the airhostess, who was on duty on a special PIA flight, which brought Pakistanis stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Karachi.

On April 6, two PIA pilots and some air hostesses, who returned from Toronto, tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the Health Department, five people, including two pilots, had been stranded in Toronto for the last several days. Both pilots were shifted to an isolation ward of a private hospital.
