According to security sources, two security personnel were martyred and two others were injured in a bomb attack that occurred in Mohmand tehsil of district Bajaur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

A patrolling vehicle of the security personnel was bombed in the attack in Tehsil Mohmand.

The martyrs were a deputy subedar and a lance naik. Security agencies have launched a search operation in the area after the blast, sources said.

Security personnel injured in the blast have been shifted to District Hospital Khar for treatment.

Mohmand is bordered with Bajaur District to the north, Khyber district to the south, Malakand and Charsadda districts to the east and Peshawar district to the southeast.

Meanwhile, a hand grenade with thrown into Bannu's Domail Police Station by some unknown persons which could not explode.

Later the bomb disposal squad personnel defused the grenade. Police dispatched special teams for the arrest of the culprits.
