The Supreme Court (SC) has rejected an appeal against the conviction of a man accused of raping a 7-year-old girl.

According to details, Zahid, who was convicted of raping a 7-year-old girl, had filed an appeal against his seven-year sentence.

The appeal was dismissed by the Supreme Court and a five-page decision was issued.

Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi wrote the verdict. It is pertinent to mention that the Balochistan High Court has dismissed the appeal against the conviction of the convict.

In March this year, Zahid raped a 7-year-old girl living in his neighbourhood.

According to the decision of the Supreme Court, the statement of the victim in solitary confinement in rape cases is sufficient for punishment.

The Supreme Court has ruled that rape is a crime committed in solitary confinement. It is not usually possible to have witnesses in rape cases.

According to the verdict, the rape victim suffers from physical pain as well as emotional and psychological stress.

In the present case, the victim has identified the abuser in front of the court.
