Gas supply was cut off to many parts of Karachi starting in the late hours of Monday night, leaving residents with a serious shortage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

As per details, gas outages are likely to aggravate this year due to the skyrocketing prices fuelling inflation globally.

Many consumers in Lyari, Baldia Town, Qaim Khani Colony, and Ittehad Town are complaining about low gas pressure, despite the fact that authorities have promised uninterrupted supply of gas to domestic consumers.

The majority of the areas, including Gulshan Iqbal, Gulistan Johar, Shah Faisal and Malir frequently have gas disruptions between the hours of 11 pm and 6 am.

Likewise, commercial consumers are forced to use gas cylinders as Pakistan is on the verge of a massive gas crunch.

On the other hand, locals bemoaned the authorities’ inability to normalize the gas supply even during the summer.
