JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday said the incumbent rulers had given legal status to the Indian occupation of Kashmir and provided an opportunity to New Delhi for hegemony in the region, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Describing Prime Minister Imran Khan as the most incompetent and illegitimate ruler in Pakistan’s history, Fazl vowed that the ongoing movement would continue till the government’s removal.

The Muslim world had become an orphan, he said and added that Israel was being given the status of dominating power.

Addressing a rally in Lakki Marwat, the JUI-F chief told his supporters that those who propelled Imran into power were unhappy over naming them, but no one would mention their names if they stopped backing him.

Promising active participation in the PDM rally to be organised in Lahore on December 13, he warned that they would foil the government efforts in a way much better way than in Multan.

Criticising the arrests of political workers and detaining them along with criminals, Fazl asked why they should not complaint about the backers of the current government.

On the other hand, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, who is the JUI-F secretary-general, told a press conference at the Parliament Lodges in Islamabad that the Lahore rally would be a referendum against the bogus and selected government.

He warned of dire consequences if Multan-like tactics were repeated in Lahore and said, “You are creating a situation for clash. Did we violate the Constitution?” Haideri questioned.

The restrictions imposed by the current setup were worse than those under dictatorships, he noted. “On one hand, [they] say it is democracy [and], on the other, hurdles are being created,” the JUI-F leader remarked.

He said that the PDM workers would stage protests on Sunday across the country against the arrests of political activists.

“We also want to tell all the forces that we are fighting a war for constitutional and political rights. Don’t come between us,” Haideri stressed.
