Punjab Cabinet to take up educators’ hiring, vehicle registration fee at next meeting

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has convened a meeting of the provincial cabinet at 2:45 PM on Monday (December 7).

The meeting will take up a 29-point agenda. It will approve the recruitment of 1,142 educators in Dera Ghazi Khan, consider the removal of additional fee on registration of vehicles and decide a mechanism for setting the sale price of imported sugar. 

The cabinet will announce a relief package for people affected by rains and floods and approve online admissions to colleges. Passage of the Women’s Hostels Authority Bill and Ruet-e-Hilal Bill 2019 are also on the agenda. The cabinet is also likely to approve the plan to set up a cement plant in Punjab. 

Changes to the rules of the Punjab Forensic Sciences Agencies will also come under discussion during the cabinet meeting. A forensic audit report of the Punjab Auqaf Department would be reviewed at the meeting. The cabinet meeting would also approve changes to the Punjab Wildlife Rules.
