Govt decides not to extend vacation, schools to open on Monday

The School Education Department has completed the consultation on the issue of the extension of winter holidays in the public and private institutes in the province.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the department has taken a final decision not to extend winter vacations
so now the schools will open on Monday, January 9.
As per the decision of the Schools Department, it is not right to extend winter holidays in schools due to children's exams.
Deputy Secretary Schools Punjab Ch Naveed Deerath in his tweet on Thursday night has also clarified that the Winter vacations in schools are not going to be extended.
Earlier today, following the demand of the parents, the Punjab government has decided to further extend the winter vacations in schools for one week from January 9 to January 15.
