Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the assassination attempt on Imran Khan is a conspiracy against Pakistan and the nation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Talking to the journalists at Liberty Chowk during the PTI activists’ protest, Shah Mehmood Qureshi criticized Punjab police for non-registration of a first information report (FIR) against attack on PTI chief Imran Khan.  

 He said non-registration of the case regarding such a serious case suggested that there is some pressure due to which the demands of justice cannot be fulfilled. 

He also said that people were not satisfied with the performance of IGP Punjab, adding that it was the responsibility of the Punjab government to investigate the matter and determine if he really was ‘under pressure’.

He vowed that “the nation will not sit still."
