Islamabad police registers FIR against PTI leaders

Nine FC and five police personnel injured in clashes with PTI activists

Islamabad Police on Saturday registered FIR against 24 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders for vandalizing state property and confronting police during staging protest against armed attack on PTI chief Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Federal police has initiated action against violent protesters of PTI who damaged state property and thrashed police while recording their protest on roads. An FIR has been registered at I-9 police station in which 24 leaders of PTI nominated.

The PTI leaders nominated in FIR are Ali Ahmed Awan, Amir Mehmood Kiani, Wasif Qayum, Chaudhry Shoaib and others.

It is pertinent to mention here that during protest PTI leaders and workers attacked police and FC personnel with batons and stones. Reportedly, 9 FC personnel and 5 police personnel were injured by the act of PTI workers.

About 30 PTI workers are in the custody of police who were detained during violent protest.
