Islamabad police book 503 illegal residents under Foreign Act

Totally 1126 foreigners were detained in operations against illegal resident foreigners; Most of them were Afghans; FIA to deport them directly from jails

Islamabad Police detained another 1126 in the continuing operations against illegal resident foreigners in the capital and 503 people did not have any kind of documents of their identity.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the federal police registered a case against these 503 people under the Foreign Act as most of them are Afghanis.
The sources said that foreigners who do not have proof of residence in Pakistan will be sent to jail and the immigration authorities will take steps to deport them from the jail itself.
The sources said that the FIA immigration counters will also be set up in five major jails across the country for the deportation of the detained Afghanis.
The concerned police along with the border area police will supervise and ensure the return of the illegal Afghan residents at the border, the sources said adding that all arrested Afghan nationals will be sent across the border under human rights laws.
