The administration of Rawalpindi Division Friday issued a special advisory for the tourists of Murree and surrounding regions and advised them to take precautionary measures when visiting the hill station.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Commissioner of the Rawalpindi Division has set up a control room at Jinnah Hall in Murree, and in case of emergency, tourists can call here at phone numbers 051-9269015, 051-9269016, or 051-9269018 for help.
The Commissioner directed the authorities concerned to utilize all available resources to facilitate the tourists in Murree.
The representatives of all the departments concerned would remain present in the control room, which would work round the clock under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner, Murree.
The commissioner ordered the authorities to use all available resources to assist tourists in Murree and all snow removal machinery should be kept working, in addition to preparing salt sprinkler machines and assuring the presence of the necessary workers.

Due to the large number of visitors flocking to Murree, the district administration and the City Traffic Police of Rawalpindi issued advice urging locals to practice lane discipline.

Tourists are advised to utilize gasoline-powered automobiles and are absolutely barred from using CNG-powered vehicles, which may cause problems in cars owing to the intense cold in the snow.
Families with newborns and asthmatics are also urged not to visit Murree.

Visitors should dress warmly and avoid needless travel after 8:00 p.m.
Tourists should also maintain their vehicles' gasoline tanks full.

Turn on your emergency lights and other automobile lights, and try to put a metal chain over one of your tyres, according to the advise.

According to Murree, the district administration has established special facilitation centres at 13 critical spots to assist tourists and respond to any emergency.

He added that the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, CMH Murree, and basic health clinics had also finalized plans for the snowy season, in addition to establishing two health camps at Lower Toppa and Bansra Gali for the convenience of travelers.

According to a CTP, special traffic wardens have also been deployed at Murree's important intersections to ensure smooth traffic flow while Tourism Police and special squads are also deployed to coordinate them.
