A video, showing policemen in Lahore beating up women and using abusive language against them, has gone viral on social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The incident took place at Cheeto Wali Haveli village in the limits of Kahna police station on Monday night.

Jameela Bibi, one of the victims, told media that SI Anwar, Industrial Area checkpost in-charge, stormed into her house along with other policemen after receiving bribe from her rivals. “After forcing their way into the house, the cops beat us up with clubs and shouted abuses at us,” she said, and demanded the high-ups take action against those ‘guilty’.

Meanwhile, SP Operations Model Town has said that right now investigation is underway and the facts will only come out once it is complete.

He assured that those cops of Kahna police station found involved in the incident will be taken to the task.
