Former foreign minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said it was heartening that the Supreme Court (SC) had acknowledged that former prime minister and his grandfather late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) was not given a ‘fair trial’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media after the SC gave its unanimous opinion on the presidential reference sent to it on the hanging of former prime minister, Bilawal said today the apex court had made it clear that the purpose of today’s decision was to undo the wrongs of the past. “Now the country will progress courtesy today’s decision,” he said, adding, “It is after 44 years that justice has been done in the case.”

PPP chairman was of the view that this verdict had restored the nation’s confidence in the apex court and now it would look up to it for justice.
