The Sky Wings Aviation Company on Saturday served a legal notice on the Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson for issuing a press release last month which was full of accusations against the company that damaged its reputation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, on the matter of renewal of Sky Wings Aviation Company’s license, the CAA spokesperson issued a press release on Oct 31 which was full of accusations levelled against the Sky Wings.

The legal notice demanded of the CAA spokesperson to explain his position regarding his allegations against the company. The notice further said that the CAA press release caused an irreparable damage to the company’s repute and claimed Rs50 millions in damages.

According to the legal notice, the Sky Wings has submitted complete and absolutely correct audit reports to the Air Transport Department for the renewal of its license on time. The officials of CAA’s Air Transport Department themselves have corroborated this fact in their official letter, the notice added.

However, the license of the Sky Wings has not been renewed so far, said the notice.

It further said that the company was awarded a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the aerial works license for the current year in May 2021. The company was awarded the NOC after a thorough security clearance, it stated.

The notice asked the CAA to immediately tender an apology from the Sky Wings by issuing a press release. In case of not tendering an apology and denying lies against the Sky Wings, the air company would take legal action against the CAA spokesperson, the legal notice concluded.
