Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said on Monday that both the terrorists who had carried out attacks in Gwadar as well on the FC personnel in Mastung had come from Afghanistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a presser in Islamabad, he assured the Taliban that just like they had assured Pakistan that the Afghan soil would not be used against Pakistan, similarly, the government of Pakistan would ensure that none could carry out any act of sabotage against Afghanistan from Pakistan’s soil.

The interior minister said that India had suffered a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan as it had set up 66 camps there in order to destabilise Pakistan. “These all have proved useless now after the Taliban takeover of capital Kabul. The way the Indian media was screaming at the ISI DG’s visit to Afghanistan, it appeared as if he had not visited Afghanistan, but India,” he taunted.

He said he was pleased to hear that the Taliban were interested in becoming part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He said he wanted to tell India that presently there was no camp for Afghan refugees inside Pakistan. “We are going to open Pak-Afghan border crossing at Chaman and Torkham on September 12,” he informed.

Rasheed said the opposition leaders had no idea as to in which direction the country’s politics was heading. “Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s days in politics have been numbered,” he said.
