Govt increases utility store items prices again

The government has increased the prices of at least 50 items at utility stores across the country and a notification in this regard has also been issued, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Tuesday.

According to details, prices of branded tea, milk, soap, spices, honey, biscuits, noodles, tomato ketchup, custard powder, red chili, pickle, and other items have been increased by the government.

As per the notification, the price of branded tea of 950-gram has been fixed at Rs 1355 with an increase of Rs 100. The price of half roll biscuits has increased by Rs. 10 to Rs. 20. Cerelac for children 750-gram packet is increased by Rs 200 and the new price is Rs 1045. A 440-gram bottle of jam has been fixed at Rs 249 after an increase of Rs 46.  The price of milk is increased from Rs177 to Rs197 per kg. The price of a 900ml packet of mayonnaise is increased by Rs.86, and the new price is fixed at Rs.543. A 900-gram milk pack for children is fixed for Rs 1025 with an increase of Rs 100.  The prices of tomato ketchup, custard powder, red chili, and noodles have also been jacked up.

The citizens said that common are bearing the brunt of the poor policies of the government.
