Woman commits suicide by jumping into Lahore Canal

A woman has committed suicide by jumping into Lahore Canal near Thokar Niaz Baig, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

On receiving information of the incident five rescue emergency vehicles of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and started searching the body of the woman.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred due to domestic violence.

However, the rescue diving team fished out the body of the woman from the canal, said rescue officials.

They said the body of the woman was handed over to the police for legal action.

Later, the body of the deceased woman was handed over to the relatives.

The body has been identified as Sughran Bibi age 22.
