While taking a dig at Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the PTI has been declared a foreign-funded party under the Political Party Order, 2002 and its chief has submitted a false affidavit, 24NewsHD TV channel.

While reacting to PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry’s statement, the minister on Sunday said that the Election Commission of Pakistan had declared the PTI a foreign-funded party under the Political Party Order, 2002. She said that in its verdict, the ECP said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had submitted a false affidavit regarding party funding five years ago.

“Now the verdict has come out. Government is complying with the law. During the last eight years, the PTI has not given answer regarding its funds. But there is no need of answers anymore as the foreign funding case has been proved against the party,” she maintained.

She hit out at Fawad saying now the PTI leaders were making up hundreds of things. Why didn’t they tell the commission, she added.

Ms Aurangzeb was of the view that Imran was scared of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah that’s why he implicated him in a false 20kg heroin case. She said Imran ran away to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 25 because he was afraid of Sanaullah.

She cautioned Fawad to not cross the limits borrowing his phrase ‘caution is a good thing’.

Earlier today, Fawad Ch posted a tweet asking Rana Sanaullah: “Rana Sahib, do not forget your position, your position is no more than an SHO of Kohsar police station. Beware, tables could be turned. We can see how brave you are as you have not visited Faisalabad since the government has changed. Anyways, caution is a good thing :).”
