PTI still resonant, people have no better option other than it: PM Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf is the most popular party of the country and people have no better option other than PTI, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Prime Minister Khan was presiding over a meeting of PTI’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) in Islamabad on Monday. He called upon the party leaders to accelerate public contact campaign before the start of local government elections. He also directed them to prepare schedule for public rallies.

The meeting also discussed method for issuance of tickets for local government elections. It also mulled over the names for mayorship in big cities. 

Prime Minister Khan was of the view that the PTI was still the most popular party of Pakistan and people didn’t have any other better option except the PTI. 

The CEC discussed the second phase of LG polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The prime minister expressed his resolve to fight the polls with full vigor. The meeting broached the subject of MNA Ali Amin Gandpur’s brother Umar Amin Gundapur’s disqualification by the Election Commission. 

Umar Gundapur was PTI candidate for the mayorship of Dera Ismail Khan. 

The premier resolved that the administrative structure of the party would be overhauled. He termed PTI’s workers a precious asset of the party. 

Besides this, the CEC meeting was also briefed about Prime Minister Khan’s recent visit to China. 

The premier asked his party leaders to highlight the achievements and success of his China visit.
