7,853 actions taken across Pakistan for violating corona SOPs

Authorities throughout Pakistan in order to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to contain the spread of coronavirus have taken widespread action for violating the health guidelines and in total 7,853 actions were taken against businesses, industries and transport.

To ensure public safety, compliance of health guidelines for containment of COVID, dedicated teams of provinces, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad have ensured that those not adhering to health instruction/guidelines are sensitised as SOPs compliance not only ensure individual safety but also protects family, community and public at large thus contributing to an overall healthy environment for the society.

According to the latest figures released by National Command and Operation Centre Sunday, during the last 24 hours reports received from provinces about actions taken for SOPs compliance included:

Balochistan

As many as 705 violations have been observed due to which 629 shops, three industries and 15 transports/vehicles were temporarily closed/fined and cautioned.

Punjab

Special teams were made for checking various markets, bazaars/transport and industrial areas. As many as 965 shops, two industries, 715 transports were closed/fined/cautioned all across the province on 4,641 SOP violations.

Sindh

81 shops were closed/fined/cautioned due to 826 SOP violations all across the province.

KP

About 398 SOPs violations were observed in which 186 shops, and 106 transports were cautioned/fined and sealed.

GB

As many as 96 shops and 56 transports were fined/sealed on 267 violations of health guidelines/instructions.

ICT

Forty-four SOPs violations were marked in ICT. 29 shops, two industries and 13 transports were fined/sealed.

AJK

In AjK 972 SOPs violations were observed during which 168 shops/and 202 transports were fined/sealed.
