Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto quarantined himself after his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock contracted Covid-19, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.

The German foreign minister cut short her visit and returned after she caught coronavirus. Sources said Bilawal Bhutto quarantined himself and he will undergo a covid test.

He will carry on governmental and political affairs from his residence. The German FM arrived in Islamabad on a two-day visit at the invitation of her Pakistan counterpart. 

She was accorded a warm welcome. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar was also present. She planted a sapling with a delegation from the Foreign Ministry. The two FMs held a joint press conference earlier.
