Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Tuesday that the affairs of the country could not be managed as long as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was there, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“The NAB chairman will have to be held answerable. If the facts come to the surface, the reality of the NAB will become apparent,” Abbasi said.

“There are institutions of law and accountability in the country,” he stated.

“Institutions such as Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) are there in the country,” he added.

“The NAB is needed only to influence the politics of the country,” Abbasi maintained.

“Where was Imran Khan when the economy of the country was collapsing?” he flayed.

“Today, they (PTI) are demanding elections. I am giving the date. Elections will be held in October 2023,” he declared.

“From today, electricity loadshedding will be less than three-and-a-half hours in a day,” he added.
