In the meeting of Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, it has been decided that all opposition parties will participate in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) long march, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
After the meeting of opposition leadership at former President Asif Ali Zardari‘s residence in Islamabad, former premier Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani told the media that the representatives from both major opposition political parties will join the PPP’s march.
Gilani said that prior to bringing the no-confidence motion, the role of the speaker has to be considered. He said the legal team has been tasked to monitor the role of the speaker before tabling the No-Confidence Motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Gilani said that Bilawal Bhutto will also come tomorrow and the representatives from joint opposition will also be represented.
Earlier, talking to the media, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Akram Khan Durrani said the No-Confidence Motion against the PM will come very soon.
Durrani said that within two days the media will come to know whether that motion will be brought against the Prime Minister first or against the Speaker.
Signalling to bring the vote of the no-confidence motion against the premier Imran, Durrani said that “our faces look fresh to you, that's enough”.
Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman Monday called on PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at his residence.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and the former premiers — Yousaf Raza Gillani and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi — were present in the meeting.
PML-N leaders including Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Asif, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafique, and Marriyum Aurangzeb attended the meeting.
PPP leaders including Syed Khursheed Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar, and Murtaza Wahab also attended the meeting.
Matters relating to the current political situation in the country, especially the no-confidence motion against the prime minister, came under discussion.
