Federal Minister for Education Rana Tanveer Hussain on Monday said his government is not taking action against PTI’s Imran Khan to avoid martial law.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain along with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Haji Tariq Mehmood Dogar talked to the media at Sheikhupura.
The federal minister said Imran Khan says no matter to me if martial law imposes in the country and this is the reason that's why they are not taking action against him.
He further stated that a Governor Rule could be imposed if the provincial administration will disrupt law and order or attack the governor's house and does not protect the lives of the people.
Rana Tanveer Hussain termed the assassination attack on Imran Khan during his Long March toward Islamabad totally a drama. He said Indian media is comparing Imran's character to “Noori Nath”.
Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain said they have expelled Imran Khan in a constitutional manner so now his hue and cry is baseless.
The minister said former premier Nawaz Sharif was kicked out on the Aqama issue in the Panama case but his party and the leadership did not say that they will burn down the system.
He said a man was shot by Imran Khan's security guard during the long march, and now they are compensating his family with Rs5 million.
He said Imran Khan has no democratic values, Pakistan Army is the guarantor of the defense of the country. If the army is strong, then the integrity of the country cannot be in danger, he added.
He clarified that the federal government is not obstructing registering the FIR of the attack on Imran Khan as it is a matter of Imran Khan and the Punjab government.
If Imran Khan will lodge a false FIR, then a PTI worker assaults any opponent, then his case will be registered against Imran Khan, the minister said.
