SC suspends VC Faisalabad Agriculture University

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday suspended Vice-Chancellor Faisalabad Agriculture University Dr Muhammad Ashraf from his post and stopped him from further work, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The apex court suspended the decision of the two-member bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) to reinstate Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf to his post.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashraf was declared Highly Cited Researcher by the Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters USA) for the Year 2018. Only four of all Pakistani scientists have been declared highly cited researchers. He was ranked the top scientist of the OIC countries (57 countries) by securing 4306 points in Biological Sciences in 2007 by the COMSTECH of the OIC countries. Also ranked as top scientist in Biological Sciences in 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2010 by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology and attained 3rd position among the scientists from all disciplines in Pakistan during 2017 by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology.
