Heavy rain turns Karachi weather pleasant

Many Karachi areas received heavy rain on Tuesday taking the mercury down amid shallow westerly wave affecting upper and central parts of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the local weather office, cold and dry weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh as partly cloudy weather with light rain occurred in Karachi, Dadu, Mithi,  Nawabshah, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Hyderabad and in Hub.  

In Karachi, Nipa Chorangi, Jail Chorangi and University Road received rain.  

In the last 24 hours, the weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas, however, rain occurred at isolated places in northeast Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Jacobabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Forecasters say partly cloudy and cold weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, light rain/drizzle with gusty winds (light snow over hills) is expected in northeast Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan on Wednesday (tomorrow).
