Two die after blast in Okara firecrackers factory

Two people including a woman died and two others were injured on Wednesday after a blast caused by a major fire at a firecrackers factory near Shirowala Kho, Jindaraka Road area of Renala Khurd in Okara district, reported24NewsHD TV channel. 

Six persons, including four women, were critically injured in the explosion that occurred at the factory in Renala Khurd yesterday.

The rescue squad transported the injured to the Okara district hospital after providing them emergency medical assistance. 

It was learnt that two injured people, Muhammad Ahmed and Fauzia, were shifted from District Hospital Okara to Lahore, where they succumbed to their injuries.

The police have registered a case against the factory owner and are conducting raids to arrest the suspect. 

According to the hospital sources, two more injured people are reportedly in critical condition.
