US troops pullout plan: All parties taken into confidence, NA body told 

The National Assembly's Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs met with it head Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana in the chair on Thursday.

The meeting reviewed progress on its proposals it presented in the last session. According to 24NewsHd TV Channel, the body took stock of the Afghanistan situation.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi showed up at the meeting. He told the participant that all the parties were invited to the recently held special sitting where they had brief.

All the parties were taken into confidence on Afghanistan in wake of US announcement of its troops pullout from the war torn country, he added.

FM Qureshi said he wanted to make sure his presence in all the meetings of this body 

He told the body he has always been ready to explain any of the policy matter to any of the parliamentary party.

US President Joe Biden announced in April the drawdown of all 2,500 US troops is beginning from May 1 and concluding by September 11 –  the 20th anniversary of the war.

He said after consulting closely with allies, all the persons concerned including Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, he concluded that it's time to end America's longest war and it is time for  American troops to come home.
