Reminding former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan of the sit-in his party workers had held outside the Supreme Court (SC) building in 2014, Federal Minister for Law and PML-N leader Azam Nazeer Tarar on Wednesday expressed surprise that now Imran was going to launch ‘Save Judiciary’ movement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media, he said Imran needed introspection. “Courts keep issuing summons to him, but he prefers to stay at home,” Azam said, adding, “Truth of the matter is that he is making fun of courts.”

The minister went on to say that complying with the court order, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif flew to Pakistan from London along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz. “And when Kulsoom Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif’s wife, died, both Nawaz and his daughter were in jail,” he said.

He was of the view that people were observing PTI chairman’s conduct, and they would give their decision in the next elections.

The minister said billions of rupees would be spent on the general elections. “Presently digital census is underway in the country,” he added.

He claimed that Imran had dissolved the National Assembly in April, 2022 on the basis of a mere hypothesis.

Azam stressed the need for taking steps to protect the rights of women in the country.

Imran’s new movement a slap on judicial system: Marriyum

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb lashed out at Imran Khan by saying PTI chief’s movement to save judiciary is a slap on the face of the superior justice system of the country.

Taking to twitter, Marriyam attacked Imran Khan, calling him a foreign-funded agent, Toshakhana thief, Al Qadir Trust briber, and judicial fugitive who does not want to save the judiciary rather to be saved from the judiciary.

She reiterated “A leader with the courage of a lion, like Nawaz Sharif, can save the judiciary, as opposed to a coward and jackal, like you, who had hidden himself when the police came to arrest him.”

“You had to protect the judiciary at the time when you used to call Saqib Nisar to get fake certificate of Sadiq and Amin certificates,” she claimed.
