JI submits petition in SC for action against Pandora-tainted people

The Jamaat-i-Islami has submitted a petition to the Supreme Court seeking action against those whose names have appeared in the Pandora Papers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

JI leader Sirajul Haq on Monday filed a petition in the apex court. The JI petition stated that Pandora Papers were a continuation of the Panama Leaks and the names of Pakistanis had appeared in the Pandora Papers. The petition sought an action against them. Those who have looted national wealth, they should be made accountable, the petition pleaded.

The JI had submitted miscellaneous petitions in the Panama Leaks.

In the petition, the federal government was made party to the case. The names of many politicians and their relatives, generals, businessmen and media barons have emerged in the Pandora Papers.
