Interior Minister Ijaz lauds US offer to boost bilateral ties

Minister for Interior Brig (retd) Ijaz Ahmed Shah on Thursday welcomed American offer to frame a strategy for furthering boosting the bilateral relationship.

A three-member delegation of the US embassy called on Ijaz Ahmed Shah in Islamabad and discussed matters of mutual interests during the meeting, said a press release issued in Islamabad.

The delegation, led by Angela Aggeler, appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to control Covid-19 pandemic as coronavirus-related situation also came under discussion during the meeting.

The US delegation offered for devising a strategy to further promote the bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Interior Minister while lauding the offer assured all-out cooperation in this regard. He said all-out efforts were being made to effectively control the spreading of the pandemic in the future.

Ijaz Shah said the relations between the two countries could further be strengthened through bilateral meetings and discussion.
