Electricity rate increased by Rs1.95 per unit

There seems to be no end in sight as the government has once again increased the electricity rates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) notified a hike of Rs1.95 per unit on Friday.
Earlier, on Friday 24News had reported that the country was once again is in the grip of loadshedding following a shortfall of 4,000 megawatts of electricity, triggering prolonged power outages across Pakistan.
Sources informed the channel on Friday that the electricity shortfall was the result of inadequate fuel supply. They said that the total production of electricity was 19,000MW whereas the demand was 23,000MW.
