Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar Saturday claimed that the coalition government led by Pakistan Muslims League Nawaz was ready to quit the government on May 23, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In an exclusive talk with Nasim Zehra, he said the decision to leave the government had been made on May 23.

“Shehbaz Sharif's speech was also ready in this regard. However, after Imran Khan's March announcement, Nawaz Sharif changed his decision and instructed the party leaders not to leave the government”, he vowed.

PML-N key leader Ishaq Dar said that Imran Khan’s long march will be restricted to the parade ground and he will not be allowed to enter the red zone.

In another startling revelation, he said general elections will be held in October next year, and whatever decision is taken will be a joint decision of the ruling coalition partners.

The minister also suggested that the Army Chief should be announced in the last two to three weeks.

There is a plan to reduce electricity prices but it won't happen immediately, he lamented.

Ishaq Dar also hinted that there is no talk about the governor's rule, if the provinces do unconstitutional things, then there is the option of the governor's rule.
