Ex-president smells a rat in fake remarks

Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said a false statement is attributed to him in a bid to create a rift among opposition parties.

The elements behind issuing such a fake statement want to create differences among the opposition parties that had joined hangs against the government, the former president clarified while talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

He said he did not speak against any opposition leader. Reports claimed that Asif Ali Zardari issued a statement against the former prime minister.

Meanwhile, Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said such a statement were unfortunate. 

Taking to Twitter, Shehbaz said Asif Ali Zardari knows the circumstances that made Mina Muhammad Nawaz Sharif go abroad and his unwavering commitment to Pakistan has always been unquestionable.

The opposition leader urged that political leaders should refrain from controversial statements.
