German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck called on Caretaker Governor and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at PA Assembly in Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Both the sides discussed issues of mutual interest during the meeting and agreed to enhance the bilateral relationship. The envoy also inquired about the health of the PML-Q supremo Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

The German ambassador said that the German government has been assisting Pakistanis technically and financially as well.

Earlier, German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck called on PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra Raiwind.

The German envoy said that Pakistan-German ties have been getting stronger with the time.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that PMLN is still the most popular party in the country.
