Digitalization of Pashto music to preserve our cultural heritage: Shibli

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has appreciated Radio Pakistan’s initiative of digitalizing Pashto music to preserve cultural heritage of Pakistan.

He was speaking while inaugurating E-library of Radio Pakistan’s Pashto music at National Broadcasting House Islamabad.

Shibli Faraz said that digitalization of Pashto music will also help to preserve our history for future generations.

The Information Minister expressed the desire that Radio Pakistan should also focus on preserving cultural treasure in all the other languages of Pakistan.

Earlier in her welcome address, Director General Ambreen Jaan said that Radio Pakistan has set an example in the preservation of regional music through digitalization.

Later, a musical show was also organized which enthralled the audience.

The function was also broadcasted live on FM 101 Network and FM-98 Dhannak Lahore and Karachi Channels.

The event was attended by senior officials and staff of Radio Pakistan.
