FIA DG orders tough action against people involved in ‘Hawala’

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General (DG) Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi has ordered intensifying the crackdown on the people involved in financial malpractices such Hawala and Hundi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

The DG gave these orders during his visit to FIA Zonal Headquarters, Sindh, where he was briefed about the steps being taken by the Agency to eliminate such illegal practices in detail.

FIA arrests two ‘fraudsters’ 

Meanwhile, FIA’s Corporate Crime Circle has arrested two persons in Karachi for minting over Rs300 million from people in the name of investment in Digital Marketing and Advertising.   

Muhammad Suleman and Muhammad Owais, who have been arrested on the complaint of a female victim, had formed two companies for the purpose, and they would lure the people by promising them that they would be returned their capital along with interest.

FIA Additional Director Dr. Muhammad Farooq has said that further investigation in the case is underway.
