Bilawal gets relief from Supreme Appellate Court GB

Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit Baltistan Monday suspended the verdict of Gilgit Baltistan Supreme Court (GBSC) asking party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to leave the region within 72 hours for violating the code of conduct for elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Bilawal Bhutto lawyer Acetate Amjad Hussain thanked the Supreme Appellate Court and said he was hopeful for getting justice.

“Now nobody can put a hurdle in PPP’s way to form government in GB as PPP will run its campaign in an organised way,” he added.

The Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit Baltistan also suspended the order of GB chief court against federal ministers to leave GB and summoned the lawyer’s arguments in the next hearing on November 12.

It is pertinent to note that Gilgit Baltistan 2020 General Elections are scheduled to be held on November 15 (Sunday) in 24 constituencies, each electing one member to the 3rd Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly.

PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressing a rally in Hoper Valley Nagar said: “PTI government has not given a single development project to Gilgit Baltistan.”

Bilawal promised to provide land ownership right to GB people and fight for their constitutional rights to make the FB a province.

He requested the GB people to cast their ballots in favour of PPP candidates across the length and breadth of the mountainous GB.

Addressing a rally, Bilawal promised to complete the unfinished mission of Shahedd Benazir Bhutto in GB.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated an election office in Nasirabad in Hunza area of Gilgit Baltistan. Addressing the people Bilawal said that he has to complete the mission of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and will provide the rights of the people of GB.

“The relation between the people of GB and the PPP go back to three generations. We will together establish separate province for the people of GB and will provide employment to the youth of GB in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” he added.

“Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had ended FCR and rajgiri system and provided subsidy on food items, petrol and clothes. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto introduced democracy in GB and allowed political parties to function in GB. President Zardari gave identity to the people of GB, assembly, first governor, first chief minister and 25 thousand jobs to the people of youth of GB,” Bilawal said.

He said only during PPP government in GB the people get their rights and PPP would give them the right to rule, the right to property and the right to employment after forming a government in GB this time around.
